I’M ALIVE was inspired by a real-life event in which the timing of those two simple words—a common phrase I’ve heard a hundred times since that fateful day—would haunt me for the rest of my life. In the novel, however, there’s very little reality among the fiction.
I’M ALIVE is a compelling story of the life and death of a unique young man and the strong, resilient young lady he left behind when he died under mysterious circumstances. Imitating life, the storyline is full of fascinating characters who maneuver the twists and turns of the plot. While there’s certainly suspense, there’s also an emphasis on romance, with snippets of both humor and tragedy.
Though I believe my style of writing breaks the pattern of the typical mystery writer, it could be viewed as similar to Richard Paul Evans’ The Walk series or maybe a Janet Evanovich novel. The target audience for this novel could also include readers of traditional novels such as works by Nora Roberts, James Patterson, and Danielle Steele.
I'M ALIVE is the first of three in the series. After the remaining two are finished and published, I have four additional novels I’ve started on and have the remainder of those stored in my head, waiting to be written.
